SEATTLE — Seattle plans to double the number of school zone speed cameras by the end of 2025, investing $1.2 million to grow the program that enforces the 20 mph speed limit around schools. The city’s Department of Transportation (SDOT) says the expansion comes after the 2025-26 budget included funding.
“That’s about 19 more locations to have school zone safety cameras,” said Ethan Bergerson, spokesperson for SDOT.
