The Seattle Police Department said three more officers were at the rally in Washington D.C. that led to an insurrection in the U.S. Capitol, bringing the total number of Seattle police officers under investigation to five.
In a public meeting Wednesday with the Seattle Community Police Commission (CPC), OPA Director Andrew Myerberg said two officers self-reported they were at the rally on Jan. 6. Later in the day, Interim Police Chief Adrian Diaz posted a statement that said three officers self-reported they were at the rally. Diaz repeated his claim from Jan. 8 that if they were found to be directly involved with the insurrection, he would terminate them
