The city says the increase correlates with inflation. Seattle’s parking fines last increased in 2011.
SEATTLE — The City of Seattle announced Tuesday that fines will be increased for most parking violations in the new year.
According to the city, most parking fines currently range from $29 to $53, depending on the type of violation. Starting Jan. 1, 2025, the new fines will range from $43 to $78.
For example, drivers who double-parked will soon have to pay a fine of $69 instead of $47. Drivers who parked in a restricted parking zone will have to pay $78 instead of the current $53.
