SEATTLE — As the use of generative AI software, such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot, becomes increasingly popular, high schools and colleges are examining the role it should play in education. While some are steering clear of the software altogether, one Seattle professor is encouraging his students to experiment with AI in their writing.
Dr. Traynor Hansen is pioneering this approach at Seattle Pacific University in his first-year writing class. Hansen, the director of campus writing and an assistant professor of English and writing at the university, says this
