Seattle fire crews battle 3 alarm fire in Ballard

Seattle fire said the building partially collapsed and that the fire extended to an occupied townhome to the east.

SEATTLE — Seattle Fire Department crews battled a 3 alarm fire in Ballard Sunday morning.

According to Seattle fire, crews were dispatched to a building under construction in the 900 block of NW 54th St. around 6:30 a.m., about one mile west of Woodland Park Zoo.

Seattle fire said the building partially collapsed and that the fire extended to an occupied townhome to the east. The surrounding buildings were evacuated.
