Seattle family seeks justice for son killed in fatal hit-and-run

Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound has partnered with the family of Richard John “Ole” Ward, who was killed in the crash on Feb. 1.

SEATTLE — Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound is offering a reward of $5,000 for information about the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood on Feb. 1.

The victim, 39-year-old Richard John “Ole” Ward, was walking in the crosswalk at the intersection of NW Market Street and 15th Avenue NW around 1:20 a.m. when he was hit.
