Seattle City Councilmember Kshama Sawant is calling for an official investigation into threatening emails sent to her from a city employee’s account.
The series of emails, sent from an official Seattle Fire Department employee email account, began in Dec. 2020 with death threats to leave Seattle, reading “If you need help leaving, try jumping head first off the top floor of your building. I’ll even come push you.”
Other messages read: “If you don’t willing[ly] leave, we will make the decision for you by any means necessary.”
