Seattle City Light leaders face criticism after an investigation uncovers years of workplace misconduct, including on-the-job drinking and harassment.
SEATTLE — Seattle City Light leadership faced sharp criticism from city council members Friday following the release of a third-party investigation detailing years of alleged workplace misconduct.
The investigation, commissioned by the utility in early 2023, documented complaints dating back to 2017. Among the most serious allegations: on-the-job drinking, sexual harassment of female employees, and a toxic culture where apprentices were pressured to participate or stay silent.
