The crowded mayoral field was whittled down from 15 candidates to two likely frontrunners with former City Council President Bruce Harrell and current Council President M. Lorena González receiving 38.02% and 28.60% of the early vote, respectively. Current City Councilmember Teresa Mosqueda looks primed to defend her seat against a lesser-known candidate, while Fremont Brewing co-owner Sara Nelson and community organizer and attorney Nikkita Oliver will likely advance for Position 9 on the council.
However, one important race remains too close to predict following Tuesday’s count: Seattle city attorney.
