Seattle Area Feline Rescue calls on community to foster kittens and ‘Give Big’

‘Kitten season’ means more animals are arriving into the care of area shelters.

SHORELINE, Wash. — Seattle Area Feline Rescue (SAFE) continues to see an influx of kittens and new mother cats.

SAFE organization leaders say finding foster care and paying for medical care are among the greatest needs during “kitten season.”

During KING 5 Weekend Mornings, SAFE outreach coordinator Lindsey Neblina stopped by to talk about fundraising campaigns and to introduce, “Bruce,” an 11-week-old kitten.

Bruce is described as a “total snuggle bug.” Neblina said he has a couple more medical tests to undergo to narrow in on a potential blood-clotting
