Seattle Aquarium’s Ocean Pavilion to open in August

SEATTLE — The Seattle Aquarium announced its new Ocean Pavilion expansion is opening on Aug. 29.

The expansion is bringing the biodiversity of the Coral Triangle, a marine area located in the western Pacific Ocean to Seattle.

According to the aquarium, visitors will be able to come face to face with 3,500 animals and plants, including sharks, rays, bowmouth guitarfish, schooling fish, seahorses, mangroves, nearly 30 species of coral and more. The exhibit will also tell the story of the planet’s ocean.
