Seattle drivers should prepare for delays on the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 near downtown next weekend as the “Revive I-5” project returns.
Starting at 8 p.m. on Sept. 10, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) will close the mainline of southbound lanes south of Freeway Park. During the closure, traffic will use the collector/distributor lanes as crews work to replace four halves of worn-out expansion joints. The lanes will reopen at 5 a.m. on Sept. 13 for normal traffic flow.
