Retirement center residents fight back as Norse Home faces closure

Some of the remaining residents at Seattle’s Norse Home retirement facility say they won’t move out, despite the looming deadline.

SEATTLE — Some residents at the Seattle retirement home Norse Home say they will not move out despite a looming closure deadline of June 30, 2025.

A letter sent to the CEO of Transforming Age, the nonprofit managing the facility, boldly declares their intent to stay: “We are not moving out on June 30, 2025.
