EATONVILLE, Wash — A Pierce County wildlife park has welcomed two raccoon kits that were rescued in Tennessee.
Northwest Trek Wildlife Park, located in Eatonville, now features Hickory and Bluebell, five-month-old raccoon siblings. The two kits were found orphaned during routine tree work at the Memphis Zoo and rescued, Northwest Trek said in a release.
“These two are incredibly inquisitive,” Miranda, the keeper at Northwest Trek, said. “They’re always investigating and handling everything they find, but after their busy antics, they’re quick to crash for a nap.”
Northwest Trek was granted permission to take in the raccoon kits and hand-raise them by the Tennessee Wildlife Resource
