Cars and trucks are selling faster than they have all year in Seattle, according to a new report.
In March, cars were sitting on lots much less than they were in February, according to automotive research firm iSeeCars.com. That trend continued in April, but nationally the month-to-month numbers remained consistent. The slight decline could be attributed to a supply shortage.
“The microchip shortage is showing up as a clear constriction to new car supply, as we’ve seen a 16.6% drop in new car inventory over just the past four weeks from April to May,” iSeeCars executive analyst Karl Brauer. “The significant decrease in inventory suggests demand continues to outpace supply,
