Changes are coming to REI’s Alderwood Mall location as the outdoor retailer nearly doubles its physical footprint.
LYNNWOOD, Wash. — After two decades at Alderwood Mall, REI closed its store Sunday as the outdoor retailer moves to a new spot in Lynnwood.
The new location at 196th Street Southwest and Alderwood Mall Parkway is about a mile south of the old store. It will open March 28 at 10 a.m. Both locations will be closed until then.
REI’s new Lynnwood store will be nearly twice the size of the previous location with 39,480 square feet of retail space.
