On a sunny spring day, big crowds showed up in what many community leaders believe is a preview of what’s to come this summer and beyond.
SEATTLE — As temperatures soared into the mid-60s on Friday, visitors lined the boardwalk and shops at Seattle’s Waterfront Park, which is expected to see record-breaking crowds when the 15-year overhaul is completed later this year.
On the footprint of the old Alaskan Way Viaduct, the city and its partners have invested about $800 million into transforming the area.
