SEATTLE — Washington residents have exactly one month left before the REAL ID deadline takes effect. 

The REAL ID program has been delayed multiple times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but it appears that this time is the real deal. 

On May 7, US residents will need to present a REAL ID-compliant form of identification to board domestic flights and to enter federal buildings. This is a form of ID that verifies your residency and citizenship status.
