SEATTLE — The Seattle City Council will consider whether to allow more housing to be built in the SODO neighborhood, near T-Mobile Park and Lumen Field.
Supporters said the ordinance would pave the way for affordable housing that would add vibrancy to the neighborhood outside of baseball and football seasons. Yet, detractors said more housing would impede the flow of goods in and out of the Port of Seattle.
Right now, the zoning for the Stadium District does not allow for more housing.
