This is Johnaye Kendrick’s second Grammy win and her fourth nomination.
SEATTLE — A professor of Seattle’s Cornish College of Arts received one of the top awards in music Sunday night when she won the Grammy for Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals.
Professor Johnaye Kendrick, a member of the ensemble säje alongside Sara Gazarek and Erin Bentlage, won the award for the group’s song “Alma,” which features Regina Carter.
This is Kendrick’s second win and fourth Grammy nomination.
