Police fatally shoot armed carjacking suspect in Puyallup

PUYALLUP, Wash. — Police shot and killed a suspect in Puyallup Saturday afternoon, following two armed carjackings.

Just before 12:30 p.m., an armed suspect carjacked a person in the 10400 block of Portland Avenue in unincorporated Pierce County, said Sgt. Charles Porche, a public information officer for the Lakewood Police Department. 

Minutes later, Tacoma Police Department officers were dispatched to a multi-vehicle collision near South 56th Street and Pacific Avenue involving the stolen car. Police then received reports of another armed carjacking at the location. The suspect’s description matched that of the first carjacking.
