Pilot injured in floatplane crash in Lake Meridian

Puget Sound Fire said the floatplane flipped upside down as the pilot attempted to land.

KENT, Wash. — One person was injured after a floatplane crashed at Lake Meridian Saturday morning, according to authorities.

Puget Sound Fire said the floatplane flipped upside down in the water as the pilot attempted to land. Emergency crews responded to the scene just after 10 a.m. after receiving reports from multiple 911 callers.

Authorities said the pilot was the only occupant and was found unconscious. CPR was performed at the scene. His condition is unknown at this time.
