A fire at The Cheesecake Factory in downtown Seattle was ruled accidental after a fryer ignited, officials say.
SEATTLE — A two-alarm fire at The Cheesecake Factory in downtown Seattle over the weekend was ruled accidental.
The fire started in a fryer before spreading into the ventilation system and throughout the six-story building along Pike Street on April 19, according to the Seattle Fire Department.
Calls about the fire came in shortly after 9 a.m. After getting water on the fire, crews used the building’s own ventilation system and the fire department’s mobile ventilation unit to remove smoke from the building.
