The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department seized 37 dogs, 23 cats, and one horse from the property. Many of those animals belonged to the person in court Thursday.
TACOMA, Wash. — The owner of dozens of animals that were seized off a property in Roy last month will be getting two of their dogs back.
In December, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department seized 37 dogs, 23 cats, and one horse from the property. Investigators said there were signs of illegal breeding and animal cruelty.
One animal control officer stated that he found 170 violations of the state’s animal breeding statute when at the property.
