One injured in shooting that prompted lockdown at Skagit Valley College

Police were called to the 3000 block of East College Way around 12:40 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30.

MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — A 41-year-old man is being treated at Skagit Valley Hospital after he was injured in a shooting that prompted a lockdown at Skagit Valley College on Monday afternoon.

Mount Vernon police were sent to the 3000 block of East College Way around 12:40 p.m. for a report of gunshots. When they arrived they found one man with injuries.

Nearby Skagit Valley College was placed on lockdown.
