No injuries after planes collide at SEA Airport on taxi line

The airport is working with both airlines to safely deplane and bring them back to the terminal.

SEATAC, Wash. — No injuries were reported after two planes collided while on the ground at SEA Airport on Wednesday morning.

Around 10:17 a.m. Wednesday, a taxiing Japan Airlines plane struck the tail of a parked Delta Airlines plane, an airport spokesperson told KING 5. The airport worked with both airlines to safely return all passengers back to the terminal, the spokesperson added.

A ground stop was issued for arriving flights to SEA beginning at 10:36 a.m. Wednesday. It was canceled before noon.
