Sionna Stallings-Ala’ilima was sworn in as the new chief of the Tacoma Fire Department on Tuesday. She has served with the department for almost two decades.
TACOMA, Wash. — Sionna Stallings-Ala’ilima was sworn in as the City of Tacoma’s new fire chief on Tuesday, April 1.
She is a familiar face in the department, with almost two decades of service and she has been interim chief for the past nine months.
“I’m Tacoma Fire Department through and through,” said Chief Stallings-Ala’ilima. “I want to do the best I can and then pass it off to the next generation.”
