A new PBS documentary is highlighting efforts to save a longtime staple of Seattle’s University District: the Blue Moon Tavern.
“American Portrait” from PBS is a national story-telling project meant to capture the stories and struggles of 2020 through through everyday people.
The third episode, “I Keep” focuses on those preserving cultural sites and traditions in their communities — a reality made even harder by the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic — and included the fight to save the historic bar and music venue that has been around since 1934.
