Neighbors call proposed Marysville development ‘dangerous’ and ‘irresponsible’

Residents may not have a choice in the matter because of the state’s Growth Management Act.

MARYSVILLE, Wash. — One road, hundreds of homes and endless opportunities for trouble. That’s how neighbors see a proposed development near their Quil Ceda Creek neighborhood.

“There’s one road in and one road out. That’s the number one issue,” said resident Sheila Davis. “We’re worried about our safety.”

Developers want to build 59 new homes on 16 acres, next to a community that already has 150 homes. That would mean 209 homes on a single road in and out.
