EVERETT, Wash. — State Route 529 in Everett is fully closed northbound near East Marine View Drive after a hole formed Tuesday morning from “an individual tunneling underneath,” according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
WSDOT first announced that the northbound lanes of SR 529 at East Marine View Drive were fully closed for emergency maintenance just before 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Crews are working to repair the damage, but WSDOT said there is no estimated timetable for reopening the roadway. Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes.
