Motorcyclist and passenger dead after crashing into Seattle Fire Department truck

The Seattle Fire truck was responding to an emergency call at the time of the collision.

SEATTLE — A motorcyclist and a passenger are both dead after crashing into the side of a Seattle Fire truck early Monday morning. 

The collision happened at around 3:16 a.m. A motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on West Prospect Street at a high rate of speed and crashed into the side of a Seattle Fire Department (SFD) truck headed southbound on Queen Anne Avenue North. 

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger received aid from Seattle Fire Department (SFD) personnel and was taken to Harborview Medical
