SEATTLE — More than 70 school districts in western Washington will have delayed starts Monday morning to due to weather conditions.
Scattered snowfall across the lowlands Sunday melted throughout the day, but overnight temperatures are expected to refreeze the precipitation. Overnight lows can quickly turn a puddle into a patch of ice. Black ice, in particular, is dangerous because it’s nearly impossible to see.
