Missing woman who fell into Carbon River on Sunday found by authorities

A drone pilot spotted the woman’s body on Friday and alerted authorities.

PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — The body of a woman who has been missing since Sunday after falling into the Carbon River has been found.

A KING 5 crew near the scene was told a drone pilot spotted the body of 28-year-old Zuleika Witron and alerted authorities.

Rescue crews from Orting and Pierce County pulled Witron’s body out of the water, KING 5 was told.
