Fourth graders at Northwood Elementary School lined up to run a mile for Pasadena Unified School District on Thursday afternoon.
MERCER ISLAND, Wash. — Students at Northwood Elementary School on Mercer Island decided to help other students and teachers in Los Angeles who lost everything.
They ran a mile to raise money for multiple organizations that help displaced students and teachers in the areas affected by the recent deadly wildfires.
The students lined up on the track of Mercer Island High School to run their mile in the rain on Thursday afternoon. For every lap they ran, more money was raised.
