SEATTLE — The man charged in the shooting death of an innocent bystander in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood on New Year’s Eve pleaded not guilty Wednesday.

Charles Michael Hickman III was arraigned on charges of first-degree murder on Wednesday. Hickman was identified as the suspect in the death of Jonathan Adamow, who was shot and killed in the early morning hours of New Year’s Eve.
