Man accused of killing beloved Renton salon owner faces King County judge after extradition from Mexico

Louie Hernandez is accused of shooting and killing his ex-partner, then fleeing with her body to Mexico.

KENT, Wash. — A man accused of killing his ex-partner, then fleeing to Mexico faced a King County judge for the first time since his extradition. 

Louie Hernandez pleaded not guilty to charges of first-degree murder at the Maleng Regional Justice Center in Kent on Tuesday morning. His bail was maintained at $5 million because he is a “guaranteed flight risk,” prosecutors argued.
