REDMOND, Wash. — Macy’s is closing 66 stores across the country this year as it tries to turn the company around after years of faltering sales.
The locations are expected to close sometime in the first half of the year. Macy’s announced a plan last year to close roughly 150 “unproductive stores” as it tries to “return the company to sustainable, profitable sales growth.”
The closures will happen over a three year period, with the first 66 closing some time in 2025. Many
