Lynnwood driver dies after crashing into apartment building

No one inside the building was injured, according to South County Fire.

LYNNWOOD, Wash. — A driver died after they ran into an apartment building in Lynnwood early Thursday morning, according to South County Fire. 

At around 12:35 a.m., a driver veered off the road, his car went down an embankment and struck the first floor of Whispering Cedars Apartment Homes on the 6500 block of 208th Street Southwest in Lynnwood. He was pronounced dead.

The victim was identified as a man in his late 30s or early 40s. 

Several agencies responded to help remove the vehicle.
