Lewis County PUD Commissioner Michael Kelly is charged with two felonies.
LEWIS COUNTY, Wash. — Investigators said recorded phone conversations helped them build a bribery case against Lewis County Public Utility District Commissioner Michael Kelly.
Prosecutors charged Kelly with two felonies, bribery and requesting unlawful compensation last week.
According to Centralia Police Detective Mitch King, Kelly repeatedly offered Lewis County PUD General Manager David Plotz a raise in exchange for a fulltime position for Kelly.
As one of three elected commissioners, Kelly’s duties include setting salaries for PUD employees.
