Landslide prompts closure of Tacoma waterfront roadway

City officials say crews are on the way to clear the roadway.

TACOMA, Wash. — A section of a major roadway along Tacoma’s waterfront is closed after a landslide on Tuesday.

The 3700 block of Marine View Drive is where the landslide occurred, near the entrance to the Chinook Landing Marina.

The city said in a social media post just before 7:15 a.m. Wednesday that crews were headed to the scene to clear the road.
