Lakewood apartment fire displaces 30 people, 7 pets

LAKEWOOD, Wash. — An apartment fire in Lakewood has displaced 30 people and seven pets, according to the Red Cross. 

Firefighters from West Pierce Fire & Rescue responded Wednesday to the complex on the 5400 block of 110th Street Southwest in Lakewood, the agency posted on X (formerly Twitter) at around 6:30 a.m. 

There are 15 units that are a total loss. The Red Cross is helping those who were displaced with shelter. 

No injuries were reported. 

Crews are still investigating the cause of the fire.
