KIRKLAND, Wash. — Kirkland police arrested a man Wednesday at Juanita Beach Park who allegedly raped a woman there.
Police said officers responded to the park around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday after calls about an in-progress sexual assault.
Officers located both the male suspect and the female victim at the scene. The man was arrested and the woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The suspect was booked into King County Jail on suspicion of rape, Kirkland police said. Officers tell KING 5 that the attack was not random.
