DES MOINES, Wash. — A Kent police officer shot and injured a man in Des Moines on Friday evening.
The incident happened around 5 p.m. on a beach near Woodmont Park.
A 58-year-old man pointed a gun at himself and family members in a home before heading to the beach where he was shot by an officer, according to the Kent Police Department (KPD).
The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center; KING 5 has reached out to the hospital for more information on his condition.
