SEATTLE — A federal judge in Seattle ruled Friday to place an emergency block on Trump’s executive order on gender-affirming care amid a Washington state lawsuit challenging its constitutionality.
Washington state Attorney General Nick Brown filed the lawsuit last week.
A week after his inauguration, Trump signed an executive order aimed at cutting federal support for gender-affirming medical treatments for people under 19. This includes puberty blockers, hormone therapy and surgery.
