It’s shaping up to be one of the worst flu seasons in Washington since 2022

Some of the biggest counties in Washington are reporting elevated flu hospitalizations and deaths this year.

SEATTLE — Data from some of Washington’s biggest counties showed it’s shaping up to be the worst flu season in the state since 2022. 

According to the Washington State Department of Health (DOH), flu activity within the state is very high, with 143 reported deaths and 140 flu-like outbreaks in long-term care facilities since October.
