‘It’s really inspiring’: Thousands of fans flock to Sammamish to attend KPMG Women’s PGA Championship

The world’s top women golfers are competing in the KPMG Women’s PGA Championships for a more than $10 million purse. More than 5,000 fans are expected each day.

SAMMAMISH, Wash. — It’s an exciting week for golf fans in western Washington as the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship started Thursday in Sammamish.

The tournament runs through Sunday at Sahalee Country Club and more than 5,000 fans are expected to attend the tournament each day.

This is one of the most competitive golf tournaments and the world’s top women golfers are competing for a more than $10 million purse.
