KIRKLAND, Wash. — The father of a 12-year-old Kirkland boy wants the public’s help in tracking down the driver, who he says ran over his son’s foot and took off.
On Sunday, Sept. 29, Blake Barclay and his 14-year-old sister were on a Sunday afternoon walk – he was after candy.
“We got a Butterfinger – we split the Butterfinger,” Blake Barclay said.
The two did what they were supposed to – they pressed the button and carefully crossed 108th Avenue Northeast near 62nd Street. Just before getting to the center island, Barclay says he was hit by the car.
