Costco shoppers in North Seattle might not have to make the trek to the Industrial District or Shoreline stores much longer to get their bulk goods: the company filed preliminary plans to open up a second warehouse store in the city.
The location, 13550 Aurora Ave. N., is the site of a former Sam’s Club, which abruptly closed in 2018. The filed plans mostly describe interior work, according to the Daily Journal of Commerce, with the renovations estimated at approximately $10 million.
The retail space is estimated to be near 145,000 square feet. It is unclear when construction on the site would begin. The Issaquah-based retailer currently operates 32 stores
