PORT ORCHARD, Wash. — A “suspicious death” is under investigation in Kitsap County after human remains were found on Monday.
The Port Orchard Police Department said officers were dispatched to an area on Old Clifton Road just after 9 a.m. Monday.
Police said public works employees found debris on the roadside and initially believed it to be a dead animal. Officers arrived and determined the remains were human.
The person’s identity is unknown so far, police said. The cause and manner of death are under investigation.
