BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Over 30 people working for Mount Baker Roofing in Bellingham were arrested Wednesday by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), according to an agency spokesperson.
The ICE spokesperson said in a statement that 37 people who “fraudulently represented their immigration status and submitted fraudulent documents” were arrested in connection with an ongoing criminal investigation. ICE said the people arrested were taken to Tacoma.
All 37 people were taken to the Northwest ICE Processing Facility in Tacoma, ICE confirmed.
